And not just Italy’s biggest, it’s also one of the largest in Europe.
Fantoni, a renowned design company in Friuli, Northern Italy, with over 150 years of activity in the furniture and semi-finished wood sector, has chosen Nyox (joint venture between Polytec and Edison Next) as its strategic partner for the construction of Italy’s largest industrial rooftop photovoltaic system – also one of the largest in Europe.
As solution partner, we supported Nyox extensively throughout the design phase. Our engineering team conducted a four-day feasibility review, developing customized and lightweight mounting system designs. Particular attention was given to adapting solutions for challenging roof types, ensuring both safety and efficiency.
The result: a record-breaking project that will generate 13.4 GWh of clean energy each year. The system spans more than 130,000 m² – the size of 18 football fields – and requires the installation of 27,600 European-made panels, many lifted into place by helicopter.
This extraordinary collaboration shows how innovative engineering and tailored solutions turn ambitious visions into reality. By delivering a tailored value proposition, we not only helped enable Fantoni and Nyox’s sustainability goals but also created great partner satisfaction.
Fantoni and Nyox prove that sustainability is not just a concept, but a strategic industrial choice – transforming rooftops into powerful sources of clean energy for the future.”
